Takao Momiyama

Takao Momiyama

Contemporary textile artist working with traditional Japanese repair techniques and sustainable practices. My work explores themes of care, repair, and the beauty found in imperfection through the lens of Sashiko, Boro, and other textile traditions.

Based in Sweden, my practice spans over two decades, focusing on the intersection of sustainability, craftsmanship, and cultural exchange between Swedish and Japanese textile traditions.
